New Premises

To cope with ever increasing demand for Brian James Trailers, in October 2001 we moved in to a purpose-built manufacturing unit in the town of Daventry, leaving our original premises in nearby Woodford Halse.

The official opening ceremony took place on the 7th February 2002 and was attended by many associates of Brian James Trailers from over the years. People from the world of commerce, racing, rallying and transport were present - many well known, such as Calum Lockie, David Leslie, Bill Gywnne, David Sutton and Martin Rowe.

The Guest of Honour, invited to officially open the building, was none other than Andrew Cowan, chairman of Mitsubishi Ralliart World Rally Team. He and his wife Linda were welcomed at an early evening reception, during which compere Tony Mason regaled the audience with Andrew Cowan's lifelong achievements, whilst confirming his own position as one the best raconteurs around.

As one of the Nation's most successful rally drivers, and now an international businessman, Andrew certainly has made the most of his immense talent. Also in the spotlight with Tony were the present owners of Brian James Trailers, Derrin and Brandon James, along with the newly appointed General Manager, Paul Stockport. The discussion centred on the phenomenal progress the business has made and the facilities now in place with the new factory premises. Paul Stockport was also able to announce a recent success the business has had in winning a major contract as the supplier of car transporter/recovery trailers to the AA.

The evening was rounded-off at a local restaurant.
