MSA British Autotest Championships

Brian James Trailers-sponsored driver Paul Swift left Bolton on April 24 as joint leader of the 2005 MSA British Autotest Championship after a superb win on round two of the seven-round series.

After a second place finish on round one of the championship in Hereford in March, Swift was determined to get back to winning ways and retain his 2004 title.

Driving his Smith & Allan Oils supported Mini Special the 25 year old Darlington Man suffered an early setback on test two when the gear stick broke off in his hand; fortunately he was able to nurse the car home stuck in gear without losing too much time. After some speedy repairs the car was back in action, Paul was then able to set fastest time on all but two of the remaining 13 tests and in the process, take his first win of the season by 31.2 seconds over championship rival Malcolm Livingston in the Lotus.

"It has been a great day and I'm delighted to have won," said Swift afterwards.

Lockie and McCormick victorious at Brands

Calum Lockie and Bo McCormick scored a remarkable victory in the two-hour EERC Britcar race at Brands Hatch on Saturday 16 April. Racing McCormick's Ferrari 360 against more powerful opposition, the duo had a perfect run to win the race overall.

"It was one of those races where every thing went our way from beginning to end," said Lockie after spraying the champagne on the podium. McCormick and Lockie will team up again to race the Ferrari in the Britcar five-hour race at Snetterton on 21/22 May.

Calum Lockie is sponsored by Brian James Trailers.

New RS3 Race Shuttle launched

An enclosed trailer offers above all, security and weather protection. The brand new Race Shuttle RS3 provides all of this and so much more.

The RS3 progresses all aspects of enclosed trailer design. A reduction of 300mm in height over previous designs with the ability to transport large saloon cars is a good example. The impressive low profile improves your towing experience with superior stability and lower aerodynamic drag.
